GSCS Wins 2023 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Award! 

We’re proud to share that Gulf Shores City Schools has been named one of only 11 school districts in the nation to receive the prestigious 2023 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Award! Even more exciting—GSCS is the only district in the southeastern United States to earn this honor.

This national recognition celebrates our district’s commitment to sustainability, environmental education, and wellness through innovative programs, place-based learning, and community partnerships that create healthier and more sustainable schools.
