GSMS and GSES Celebrate Ribbon Cutting for New Outdoor Kitchen! 

Gulf Shores Elementary and Middle Schools proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of our brand-new outdoor kitchen—a dynamic, hands-on learning lab designed to spark curiosity and creativity in students across grades.

This innovative space is more than just a kitchen—it’s a classroom without walls, where students engage in culinary arts, nutrition, science, math, sustainability, and farm-to-table education. From harvesting fresh ingredients in our school gardens to preparing healthy meals, students are building real-world skills through authentic, place-based learning.

The outdoor kitchen fosters STEAM learning, collaboration, creativity, and confidence—all while reinforcing the importance of healthy living and environmental stewardship.
