I am excited to nominate Hannah Maddux for Wave Maker of the Month. Hannah consistently creates 
engaging, hands-on learning experiences that make a lasting impact on students while turning everyday lessons 
into meaningful, interactive activities that keep students excited and eager to participate. With energy and 
creativity, Hannah makes learning enjoyable for all students. Hannah is also an incredible team player who 
collaborates, shares ideas, and encourages others. Hannah’s positivity inspires colleagues and helps build a 
supportive, innovative environment. I am grateful Hannah is part of GSES, and Hannah’s dedication makes a 
difference every day.

I am honored to nominate Jennifer McCurdy for May 2026 Wavemaker of the Month. As Bookkeeper at Gulf 
Shores Middle School, she consistently demonstrates excellence, integrity, and a strong commitment to 
supporting staff and students. Jennifer is the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring every detail is 
handled with accuracy and care. She manages budgets, processes transactions, and assists teachers with 
efficiency. Her positive attitude and willingness to help truly set her apart. She is approachable, patient, and 
always ready to assist others. Jennifer’s work impacts our entire school community, making her highly 
deserving of this recognition.

I'm a WaveMaker because...

Mrs. Everett represents so much more than her title to those of us at Gulf Shores High School. She is a woman 
of faith who embodies servant leadership, builds momentum, and creates a culture of support and excellence
within our school. She approaches every situation with a genuine “How can I help?” mindset. She is a 
consistent presence on campus, offering guidance, encouragement, and solutions. She dedicates long hours to 
sporting events, district meetings, parent conferences, testing, AP programs, ACT support, and instructional 
initiatives. She supports teachers, advises students, and uplifts staff. She is respected across campus, and her 
impact is felt daily as a steady, trusted leader.
