I'm a WaveMaker because... 
Maci is kind, compassionate, and willing to help others. She consistently goes above and beyond to support students who need guidance or encouragement. Whether on the playground, at Specials (Music, Art, STEAM), or during field trips. She helps everyone feel included and supported. During our Pumpkin Patch field trip, she stepped up, offering help and showing patience, and kindness by helping students and never leaving their side. She always puts others before herself and works to make those around her feel happy and valued. Her caring attitude and selflessness make Maci a wonderful example of a GSMS WaveMaker.

I'm a WaveMaker because...
Canaan consistently demonstrates kindness, integrity, and leadership both in and out of the classroom. As a new student, he quickly became someone peers trust and respect because he makes others feel valued and included. He leads by example through his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to encourage others to do their best. In small group settings, Canaan is an active participant whose enthusiasm positively impacts lessons and classmates alike. Whether in the classroom or on the court, he reflects empathy, cooperation, and excellence every day. Canaan’s quiet leadership, exceptional character, and compassion for others make him a true WaveMaker.

Arianna consistently demonstrates the qualities of a true Wavemaker through her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support others. She leads by example in the classroom, treats others with kindness and respect, and approaches challenges with determination and maturity. Teachers and peers appreciate her dependability, encouraging spirit, and commitment to doing her best. Whether participating in class activities, helping classmates, caring for Phin, or representing GSMS with pride, Arianna reflects the values and character we celebrate in our Wavemaker students. We are proud of her positive impact and congratulate her on being named the May 2026 GSMS Wavemaker of the Month!

I'm a WaveMaker because... 
Landon Everett is a true example of going above and beyond. Despite earning a full scholarship to West Point, he chose to challenge himself by enrolling in AP Precalculus to better prepare for the future. What makes this especially impressive is that he did not come from the traditional advanced math track, yet he embraced the challenge through perseverance and hard work. Beyond academics, Landon balances the demands of both wrestling and football while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic. He approaches every challenge with determination and humility, making a lasting impact on those around him and proving himself highly deserving of WaveMaker recognition.
