Solar Powered Sunflowers

Solar, reinvented.

Smartflower is the world’s only solar solution to use an all-in-one, sculptural design and intelligent solution to produce clean, sustainable energy for your school.

Mother Nature: The Original Engineer

Sunflowers open, close and follow the sun for optimal energy conversion, we figured solar panels should too.

GSCS purchased solar powered flowers for all three schools. Bet you can’t say your school has a solar powered flower. This thing rotates as the sun moves capturing as much energy as possible. It even automatically folds if the winds get too high.

Thank you to City of Gulf Shores - Municipal Government for GSCS New STEAM Lab at Gulf Shores Elementary School! Without the City's help, none of this would be possible! #makewaves

The new Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) Collaborative Learning Center at Gulf Shores Elementary School is complete and ready for the 2022-2023 school year!

The center provides a student-centered, experienced-based learning atmosphere by integrating low- and high-tech teaching styles into the educational philosophy. It features six new flexible classrooms, two fully-equipped STEAM labs, break-out spaces, outdoor learning areas, and three aquariums. Every space in the center was designed to be utilized for learning purposes - even the hallways!

"We are excited to open the STEAM Collaborative Learning Center at Gulf Shores Elementary School. This center not only expands our student capacity but also introduces a dynamic learning environment that will provide engaging and innovative learning opportunities. It truly provides a glimpse into the future of our school system."

The Hangout Music Lab

HangoutMusicLab1

The Hangout Music Lab is officially open for business! Thank you to Shaul and Lilly Zislin and the Hangout Hospitality Group, the Dolphin Foundation, and Gulf Shores City Schools for making this possible! Mr. Simmons has worked endlessly to put everything into place to create this amazing space for his students, also. Our students now have a state of the art recording and producing studio set-up, including a full stage complete with lights and sound. Ten iMacs with mixing/production software and a wall of electric guitars are available for student use, too. The artwork and aesthetic create an inviting atmosphere that will fuel our students’ creativity for years to come. We are so lucky to have so much community support!
