Background Check Requirement

An ALSDE-approved background clearance is a mandatory requirement for all applicants seeking employment with Gulf Shores City Schools. To successfully complete the registration and clearance process, applicants must have the following:

  • A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access

  • A valid email account

  • An established AIM account

  • ALSDE ID#

  • Payment of a $46.20 fee via debit card, credit card, or PayPal (prepaid cards are accepted)

  • Ability to provide personal identifying information (Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Driver’s License Number, Height, Weight, etc.)

Steps to Complete Background Check Registration:

Applicants must follow the sequence below carefully. Failure to follow these steps in order will prevent successful completion of the process.

  1. Create an AIM Account at https://aim.alsde.edu

  2. Complete the Background Check Registration within AIM

  3. Create a Fieldprint Account

  4. Complete authorization forms, schedule fingerprint appointment, and submit payment

  5. Attend your scheduled fingerprint appointment
