Reinstating an Expired Alabama Professional Educator Certificate
The Alabama State Department of Education has introduced a new pathway for former teachers to reinstate an expired Alabama Professional Educator Certificate. If you are interested in reinstating your certificate, please follow these steps:

Complete and submit Form RTF to apply for reinstatement.

Verify U.S. citizenship by submitting the Supplement CIT form.

Pay the required $30 fee.

Complete a new background check as part of the process.
