Coach Caldwell is a graduate of Thompson High School (Alabaster, AL). After high school she attended Northwest Alabama Junior College, which is now Northwest-Shoals Community College on an athletic scholarship. She continued her education at the University of South Alabama where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. She is currently certified to teach both health and physical education.
Coach Caldwell has been a professional educator for over 23 years and has taught and coached at both the middle school and high school levels. For the last 15 years, she has been at Gulf Shores Middle School, where she has enjoyed teaching both Health and Physical Education. She believes that teaching Physical Education and Health is vitally important to improving and maintaining the physical and mental health of her students.
While at GSMS she also had the opportunity to teach her daughter. Madison is currently a junior at Fairhope High School and is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. As a mother, Coach Caldwell is extremely proud of Madison and without equivocation will tell you that she is the joy of her life.
