This year starts my 7th year at GSMS and my 21st year overall teaching. I spent my first year teaching at Judson College, in Marion, Alabama. I taught health and coached basketball and softball while there. I have spent the rest of my time at the middle and high school level teaching physical education, math and this year computer science discovers. I have coached volleyball, basketball, softball, cheerleading and track during my coaching career. I am the athletic director / academic advisor for our GSMS athletes. I also drive a regular bus route daily.
In my classes this year we will be using Code.org to learn how to develop websites and do basic computer programing.
I also have a Computer Tech Team class that work on repairing the broken Chromebooks. The students in the Tech Team class will also be completing in the state ACTE competition.
I graduated from Troy State University in 1995 with my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and a Master's Degree in Foundations of Education concentration in Technology in 1998.While at TSU I served as graduate assist Sports Information Director for Women's Sports. I graduated from Enterprise State Junior College with an Associates in Science and an Associates in Arts in 1992. While at ESJC I walked-on on the softball team before tearing my ACL, which end my career. I graduated from Coffee Springs High School in 1990 as the class Valedictorian.
