After School Programs
The After School Programs meet the needs of students and families after school in Gulf Shores City Schools. It is our goal to make sure that each child in our program is safe, secure and supported. Children are greeted by welcoming local site directors and activity leaders that care about the well being and progress of each of the children in their care. The safety of our children is a priority.
Each site ensures that there is a quiet time of at least 30 minutes where children can do homework or read quietly to give our parents more family time when children get home from school.
For more information, please contact your child's school.
Check the FORMS tab for any needed documents that need to be completed and registration.

Non-Resident Students
The Gulf Shores Board of Education has a non-resident admission policy for admitting students who are not Gulf Shores residents. The policy requires a tuition payment of $1,500 for the first child and $1,000 for each additional child, as well as academic, behavior, and attendance eligibility requirements. Additionally, admission is based on space (capacity). Tuition must be paid in full prior to entering the school system. Please be aware that tuition does NOT include school fees, donations, yearbooks, etc. as these will be collected separately at the school level. Full-time employees of GSCS with non-resident students are subject to the Non-Resident Policy but are eligible for a tuition waiver if their child qualifies. Children of full-time employees enrolled during the 2019-2020 school year as non-resident students do not need to re-apply for the 2020-2021 school year.
STUDENTS APPLYING FOR NON-RESIDENT STATUS CAN REQUEST A TUITION WAIVER BASED ON FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. (See details below)
Completion of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Notice regarding admission status will be emailed to the address provided on the completed application.
Gulf Shores City Schools offers a Virtual Academy which is open to any qualifying student and is free of charge. If capacity prevents the acceptance of your child into the traditional educational program, you may wish to consider our Virtual Academy.
